Sarah Palin Attacks Barack Obama

Alaska governor, Sarah Palin, has made one thing very clear last night and that is, Conservatives have found their Obama. Win or lose, Sarah has already positioned herself as the future of the party. Last night she made sure to stay within her comfort zone, not tackling any issues she’s not up-to-speed on just yet. The one questionable matter, out of last night’s speech, was whether or not her tough sarcastic words for Barack Obama played well with swing voters, who were hearing her for the very first time. Well, the Republican strategists believe she did and are hoping Obama joins the scrum. The Democrats, on the other hand, thought she was a bit too heated with her rhetoric.

Did Palin offensive move worked? Well, Obama didn’t take the bait, but his campaign released the following statement:

“The speech that Gov. Palin was well delivered, but it was written by George Bush’s speechwriter and sounds exactly like the same divisive, partisan attacks we’ve heard from George Bush for the last eight years. If Governor Palin and John McCain want to define ‘change’ as voting with George Bush 90% of the time, that’s their choice, but we don’t think the American people are ready to take a 10% chance on change.”

The heat is on and as the campaign race draws closer to D-day, Palin has proven to be tough, and ready for the fight, but will she hold firm in wake of her 17 year old daughter being 5 months pregnant? What about the allegations that her youngest son is not hers but in fact her daughter, Briston. Will the media try to dig deep into this or will they give her a free pass? Let us also not forget about the Troopergate story which could definitely undercut her reform credentials.
